An international investigation into organised financial crime led to 58 arrests and the identification of 263 suspects, INTERPOL reported on 25 August. Operation Jackal IV involved 23 countries across six continents and ran from November 2025 to June 2026.
The operation targeted specific criminal networks involved in fraud and money laundering, including groups linked by investigators to West African organised crime. Its geographic scope reflects how victims, payment channels and suspected organisers can be spread across different jurisdictions. The announcement presents law-enforcement results; arrests and identification as a suspect are not convictions. The findings concern particular networks and individuals and should not be generalised to populations based on nationality or region.
